Clearscapes, in collaboration with WSP, participated in the transportation study that led to major station improvements at this critical inner-city transit center, formerly the Moore Square Station. New customer amenities include high quality restrooms, ticketing and gathering spaces were introduced to the mid-block facility, while the addition of a third bus lane vastly increased the capacity. A significant cross-block pedestrian connection linking Raleigh's main street to one of its most important urban squares channels major downtown pedestrian traffic through the facility, providing additional vibrancy to this important space.

A high-quality urban courtyard was introduced, providing an amenity for the surrounding restaurants to spill into. A new six-story stair tower to the parking deck above was constructed with a translucent skin and high-quality lighting which creates a glowing landmark in Downtown. The most significant feature of the renovated station are new waiting area canopies which provide a distinctive character to the facility - comfortable covered waiting space for the bus, with electronic signage and security providing a welcoming and safe environment.
