This trade association headquarters is located in a historically sensitive site across from the Victorian Governor's Mansion and on the edge of a National Register and local residential historic district. It became the first new commercial construction in the neighborhood and had to comply with local design guidelines. The building echoes the forms and textures of the neighborhood while generating its own unique personality through contemporary detailing which distinguishes it from the adjacent historic structures.
